    As a shopper at Weaver’s Way Co-op in Chestnut Hill, PA and as someone who almost moved to Brattleboro, Vermont just because they have a terrific food co-op, to say that Edie is passionate about what a food cooperative can do for a community would be an understatement. Edie joined Kennett Community Grocer to work diligently to make this place happen. Building community relationships, reaching out to others with a passion for local foods, providing an economic engine for our community members, and encouraging the sharing of our rich diversity is what Kennett Community Grocer is all about.

  • Britton Elwood (Vice-President)

    Britton Elwood (Vice-President)

    Sometimes you need to start small to make a big impact, and Britton believes retail food cooperatives are the perfect model to begin healing our national food system, one community at a time, by providing local, healthy food for everyone. Britton's passion for sustainability, local foods and a desire to improve the food system has led her to earn a Masters in Public Health after 10+ years in the restaurant industry as a pastry chef. Her previous experience and current role as Operations Coordinator for the Kennett Food Cupboard (KACS) has taught her how to work diligently in challenging situations while successfully engaging with the community.

    Erin Selfe (Secretary)

    Erin, who lives in West Chester, PA, is an Officer and Vice President of Information Technology at Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company. Erin offers her professional skills and resourceful "can-do" attitude to help Kennett Community Grocer establish itself in our local community and economy. Having owned and operated a healthy vending business dedicated to providing nutritional snack alternatives in schools, businesses, and various recreational facilities, she is passionate about educating the general public about the benefits of a local co-op. Erin helps KCG execute upon ideas and that help keep us moving forward towards opening those doors!

  • Lindsay Cook (Treasurer)

    Lindsay Cook (Treasurer)

    Lindsay joined Kennett Community Grocer because of her passion for healthy eating and strong commitment to helping our farming community. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a BS in Business Administration and a Masters in Taxation, Lindsay loves analyzing data and helping people use numbers and finance to better their lives. She uses her skills to further KCG's growth, protect our Member-Owner equity, and help us obtain the financial tools needed to open the doors.

  • Tracy Bhalla (Board Member)

    Tracy moved to KSQ in 2015 with her husband and son. Her career path has been more unorthodox: she trained as an architect; worked as a teacher for 11 years (in England and Bermuda); ran a haulage company with a truck and a plane for 2 years; owned and rented out 5 properties in Alabama for 10 years; owned, managed and worked in two organic restaurants (simultaneously) for 3 years; worked with Neal's Yard Remedies as an Ambassador for about 10 years; and currently owns her own aromatherapy business having accomplished a long-time ambition of becoming an internationally certified aromatherapist. Tracy’s critical work brings in new vendors to the Member Benefits Program and will help transition those vendors to sell in our store once the doors are open.

  • Henry Schlimme (Board Member)

    Henry previously served on the Board of Directors of the Avondale Fire Company, where he assisted with budgeting and presenting to local municipalities for funding and was an active volunteer firefighter. Professionally, Henry is a Senior Vice President in charge of resource and capacity planning for a 6,000-person department with a budget of over $400 million per year, giving him experience in financial management, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making. With his focus on resource optimization and capacity planning, Henry contributes to Kennett Community Grocer's operational efficiency and sustainability. Henry is deeply committed to supporting our coop's mission of providing local, affordable, high-quality products to our community while fostering a sense of collaboration and shared responsibility.

  • Philippe Mazur (Board Member)

    Philippe's career spanned roles as a Grocery Store Director for two prominent retailers in France and later as a Store Manager in the USA, playing a key role in establishing a new 13,000 sq ft store. Through 14 years of experience as both a manager and director of stores, Philippe cultivated a deep understanding of the retail industry, managing large teams, and ensuring operational efficiency, while sharpening skills such as strategic planning, products sourcing, and operational management. He is enthusiastic about leveraging his expertise for the benefit of the co-op and its community, and wants fellow members to understand that being a co-op member-owner goes beyond just the products – it provides an opportunity to connect with other individuals who share the co-ops values and have a common interest in promoting fresh, organic choices.

  • Norah Roth-Moore (Board Member)

    A former attorney with a background in corporate restructuring, Norah brings her years of experience in law to Kennett Community Grocer – including contract negotiation and review. Norah is passionate about healthy food and is deeply invested in community & environmental sustainability and equity. She believes the co-op will fill an important role in the local food chain, increasing the availability and accessibility of healthy and sustainably produced food to families in the area and making the local food chain more resilient.

  • Kimm Eagle (Board Member)

    Kimm is enthusiastic about cooking and quality ingredients, having felt first-hand the benefits of living in another country that is strict on unnecessary chemicals in food production. After moving back home to the US and noticing the lack of local/conscientiously sourced options at nearby grocery stores, then hearing about KCG’s mission, she jumped at the opportunity to join and began volunteering as well. Professionally, Kimm brings to the Board over 10 years of technology and cybersecurity experience, including skillsets she’s built in communications, transforming teams to be efficient, and some web design. She is eager to open our store so that she can shop there!

  • Sandi Murphy (Board Member)

    Sandi is a retired toxicologist who dealt primarily with Health, Environmental, and Regulatory Affairs. Now she has a small Etsy shop and enjoys gardening, especially fresh herbs and vegetables. When growing up in Detroit, family-owned local grocery stores were a vital part of the neighborhood as vendors and friends. A member-owner and volunteer, she believes that KCG will provide a similar service to benefit local residents, farmers, and entrepreneurs. She will use her organizational and communication skills to help get the word out about our mission and help make solid decisions moving forward to our very own neighborhood store!

  • Stu Mundth (Board Member)

    Stuart joined Kennett Community Grocer because of his love of eating local produce and supporting local businesses. He is a project manager at an engineering consulting firm in West Chester, PA with 15 years of experience in the role. He volunteers his time to organize resources, analyze data, and help promote the benefits of KCG to the community. He hopes to see the wonderful community here in Kennett Square continue to grow and flourish with the addition of a new grocery store!

  • Mitch Warren (Board Member)

    Mitch Warren (Board Member)

    Mitch moved to Kennett Square in 2021. As an engineer, Mitch designs components for hydrogen fuel cells, helping to enable cleaner sources of energy for long-haul trucks. At home, Mitch loves cooking healthy meals with his wife. His passions for climate activism and healthy eating led him to Kennett Community Grocer, where he was compelled by the mission. As someone who is always trying to make an impact on the world, he realized that he could start with his own community. Mitch is the former KCG Volunteer Coordinator and incoming Treasurer, and is happy to play a part in bringing a community-owned grocery store to Kennett Square.
